Project 39th Street
Our virtual client located in Oakland, California was looking for help with furnishing their new apartment. They wanted a truly elevated design and reached out to EP Design Studio. We leaned into a masculine, modern, and moody design direction — giving that New York penthouse vibe!
Dark woods dominate this space, making this mostly white room feel moody, cozy and grounded. Small pops of colors like slate blues and olive greens complement the neutral and dark tones beautifully. We also love the simple striped rug that adds just an extra touch of pattern.
Limited space can be challenging for small apartments, but we managed to optimize every area by including a large media console and even a full desk since our client works from home. It’s always important that we create a design that is not only visually appealing, but also functional to our client’s needs.
